Hi there! Welcome to my new blog page. I am hoping that you will find my page very informative and fun.
My first article is getting to know how I came to be living in Australia and now working in the Real Estate Industry.
Lets get started!
As you know my name is Tristan. I was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England in 1997. When I was 4 yrs old I moved to Cornwall with my family - Dad, Mum and two older brothers.
My love of Real Estate started at a very young age, with both my parents being successful agents in our local community. I have been exposed to this industry for many years, and seen first hand the dedication needed to succeed. Through them I learnt a lot about buying and selling property, which I have carried with me my whole life.
After completing my education I was bitten by the travel bug. I travelled to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Burma with my childhood friend, Gabriel. It was the trip of a lifetime.
From there I came to visit family in Sydney, Australia. I had a working holiday visa for 12 months. I attended a local music festival where I met the love of my life, Maddison.
Not long after that my visa expired and I had to move back to England, so I took Maddison with me. After living with my brother for 6 months we decided the weather was too miserable and made the decision to move back to Australia.
We decided that Hervey Bay was the place for us, we have family here and well, what's not to love!
This is where I met Rob and Kaye Whitney, as I sat and spoke with Rob about the Real Estate Industry, something inside of me came alive and right then and there I knew I was going to follow in my parents footsteps.
Rob offered me a position at his Real Estate Agency, which I didn't hesitate in accepting. I completed the required study to obtain my certification to become a Real Estate Agent. I am planning on studying to gain my full Real Estate License in the next 12 months.
I am young and new to this area, however I am quite knowledgeable to help buyers and sellers live their dreams. I am a fantastic communicator, I am proactive and I am motivated. I have spent countless hours researching the local area and networking with local business people. I really enjoy getting out in the community and meeting the locals, this is why I door knock twice a week. I also get out weekly and drive around different areas, to familiarise myself with this magnificent place. Since starting work I have read a number of great books and articles to constantly increase my knowledge of my local market and the Real Estate industry. I am always keeping up to date with news on Real Estate legislation, so my clients are never misled.
I LOVE what I do, and I truly feel I’ve found my niche because I know I’m very good at what I do and I’m the type of person meant for this kind of work. There aren’t many people that are, and I see more fail at it (or have it ruin their life) because it can be very time-consuming, life-draining and stressful. You need to be organised and a go-getter with a positive attitude, you also need that special something to balance it all out.
